Regulatory and Compliance
In Canada, a drone with an operating weight over 25 kg and up to 150 kg is classified as a medium drone. Medium-drone operations are Advanced Operations or above, and an Advanced Operations pilot certificate can support qualifying VLOS operations when the aircraft meets the applicable safety assurance requirements. Additional requirements apply depending on the mission, airspace, proximity to people, and whether the operation is VLOS or BVLOS.

How do I arrange a Matrice 400 rental?
Submit a rental request and Candrone's Solutions team will confirm availability, discuss mission requirements and payload needs, and arrange pickup or shipping. Multi-week rates are available on request.
Are payload sensors included in the rental?
The base rental includes the aircraft, controller, battery station, and three TB100 batteries. Payload sensors are not included in the base rental and may be available separately subject to availability.
What Canadian pilot certification is required?
For a medium drone over 25 kg and up to 150 kg, qualifying VLOS operations fall under Advanced Operations or above. The pilot and aircraft must meet the requirements applicable to the specific operation.
Is multi-week rental available?
Yes. Multi-week rental rates are available for longer projects or campaign-based deployments.
Can I use my own payload with a rented Matrice 400?
The supplied compatibility information includes Zenmuse H30, H30T, L2, and P1 payloads as well as third-party payloads through E-Port V2 interfaces. Confirm your specific payload configuration with Candrone before the rental period begins.
