The Emlid Reach Thread Adapter converts the 5/8" male base thread on the RS3, RS2+, RS2, and original RS to a 1/4" female photo tripod thread, giving field teams flexible mounting options on standard camera tripods and non-survey poles without additional hardware.
- Mount any compatible Reach receiver to a standard photo tripod -- The 1/4" female thread is the universal camera tripod fitting, so your receiver can be deployed as a base station on gear you already carry in the field.
- Compatible with RS3, RS2+, RS2, and original RS -- Covers the full current and legacy Reach RS field receiver lineup, with one exception: not compatible with the RS+.
- 6mm height, negligible stack -- Minimal impact on antenna height measurements and setup precision, with a compact form that adds nothing meaningful to the survey pole or tripod stack.

The Emlid Reach Thread Adapter is a single-piece adapter that converts the 5/8" male base thread on compatible Reach receivers to a 1/4" female photo tripod thread. It allows the RS3, RS2+, RS2, and original RS to be mounted on any standard camera tripod, enabling flexible base station deployment without a dedicated survey tripod or tribrach.
At 6mm height and 50g, it adds negligible stack and weight to any setup. It is a standard companion item for surveyors and field teams who want the option to deploy Reach receivers on camera tripods, lightweight travel tripods, or non-standard mounts -- particularly in remote or confined locations where carrying a full survey tripod is impractical.
Note: This adapter is not compatible with the Reach RS+. The RS+ uses a different base thread configuration. For RS+ users, contact our team for mounting options.

Is this compatible with the RS+? No. The Emlid Thread Adapter (ADAPTER-1458) is not compatible with the Reach RS+. It works with the RS3, RS2+, RS2, and original RS only. Contact our team if you need a mounting solution for the RS+.
What tripod thread does this adapter convert to? The adapter converts the receiver's standard 5/8" male survey mount thread to a 1/4" female photo tripod thread -- the universal thread size used on the vast majority of camera tripods, travel tripods, and lightweight field stands.
