Emlid Reach RS4 Pro Weekly Rental

$700.00 CAD

The Emlid Reach RS4 Pro brings all-band RTK GNSS, dual cameras, and AR stakeout to professional survey and construction workflows, enabling field teams to capture centimetre-accurate points in locations they cannot physically access.

  • Measure points you cannot reach: Dual Full HD cameras let you capture coordinates across roads, over fences, above pits, and past machinery directly from images — no total station required.
  • Stake out in augmented reality: Overlay your CAD design onto the live scene so crews can hit layout marks faster and with fewer errors, even on complex or congested sites.
  • Centimetre accuracy under canopy: All-band L1/L2/L5/L6 GNSS across 672 channels and IMU tilt compensation to 18 mm at 30 degrees maintain a stable fix where other receivers struggle.
  • Built for a full day in the field: 16-hour battery, IP68 weatherproofing, and a magnesium alloy body rated to -40°C keep the receiver running through Canadian conditions without interruption.

Overview and Who It's For

The Reach RS4 Pro is an all-band RTK GNSS receiver with integrated dual Full HD cameras, AR stakeout, and image-based point capture. It delivers 7 mm + 1 ppm horizontal RTK accuracy with IMU tilt compensation that initialises in under 5 seconds and requires no recalibration throughout the day. It operates as base or rover via LoRa, UHF radio, or NTRIP, and is controlled through Emlid Flow on iOS or Android.

This listing is for weekly rental. Contact Candrone to confirm availability and discuss base-and-rover configurations or multi-week rates.

Primary verticals:

  • Surveying and Mapping - Topographic surveys, cadastral work, and stakeout where image capture and AR guidance reduce crew size and setup time on complex sites.
  • Civil and Power - Construction layout, as-built verification, and cut and fill work where inaccessible or hazardous measurement points make traditional rod placement impractical.
  • Mining and Aggregate - Ground control for photogrammetry and Lidar drone missions, volume checkpoints, and site control on active operations.

Also suited for: drone operators requiring ground control points for aerial mapping missions across any vertical.

FAQs

What is the difference between the Reach RS4 and the Reach RS4 Pro?
The RS4 Pro adds dual Full HD cameras to the RS4 platform. This enables AR stakeout - overlaying your design onto the real world - and image-based measurement, which lets you capture coordinates of points you cannot physically place a rod on. All accuracy specs, GNSS capabilities, battery life, and ruggedness are identical between the two models.

Can the RS4 Pro capture coordinates of points I cannot physically reach?
Yes. Using the built-in cameras and Emlid Flow, you can photograph inaccessible points - across a road, above a pit, behind a fence, or along a building facade - and calculate their coordinates directly from the images. This removes the need to set up a total station for measurement-from-distance tasks.

Can I use the RS4 Pro as a base station for drone GCP work?
Yes. The RS4 Pro operates as both base and rover. As a base, it streams RTCM3 corrections to a drone's remote controller via Emlid NTRIP Caster over internet or local Wi-Fi network, making it compatible with most RTK-enabled drones including models from DJI and Autel.

Does the LoRa radio require a licence in Canada?
No. The 915 MHz LoRa radio operates licence-free in Canada under Industry Canada RSS-210. The UHF 450 MHz radio transmits up to 2 W and may require a licence depending on your application -- contact Candrone's Solutions team if you need guidance.

How do I set up a rental?
