DJI has unveiled the Zenmuse H30 Series as a successor to the H20 Series introduced in 2020.
This new H30 series introduces a near-infrared auxiliary light and boasts significant enhancements to the thermal and RGB imaging quality and laser rangefinder capabilities. A notable hardware addition in the H30 is the NIR auxiliary light, which enhances visibility in dark conditions for public safety applications such as policing and search and rescue operations.
The starting price of the H30 camera is $4,619 CAD and the H30T camera starts at $12,620 CAD.
H30 Series Wide Angle camera
The H30 Series features a wide camera resolution that has tripled from 12MP in the H20 to 48MP in the H30 and H30T. Both the wide and zoom cameras in the H30 series include a Night Scene mode that significantly enhances low-light performance, with an ISO range extending up to 819,200, a substantial increase from the H20's 25,600.
Zoom Camera Updates
Furthermore, the zoom camera resolution on the H30 has doubled to 40MP from the previous 20MP, and the optical zoom capability has expanded by approximately 47%, offering a 34x optical zoom compared to the H20's 23x. This is complemented by a doubled digital zoom range of 400x, compared to 200x in the previous model.
Increased Laser Range Finder Range and Accuracy
The laser rangefinder's range has improved by 2.5 times, now reaching up to 3000m, compared to 1200m in the H20 series, along with enhanced target positioning accuracy.
Increased Thermal Camera Resolution
Improvements extend to the thermal camera as well, which now has a resolution of 1280 x 1024, up from 640 x 512, significantly enhancing the resolution and clarity of the IR sensor, along with additional zoom and temperature measurement capabilities.
Compatibility:
The latest H30 series, comprising the H30 and H30T models, is designed for compatibility with the Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 equipped with an RC Plus controller.
