BUY DJI ZENMUSE P1 Photogrammetry

The DJI Zenmuse P1 is the official mapping payload designed by DJI for the M300 RTK drone. This camera features a full-frame 45 Megapixel CMOS sensor stabilized with the Zenmuse 3-axis gimbal. The mechanical global shutter makes it the ideal camera choice for photogrammetry mapping missions, allowing for fast image acquisition while reducing rolling shutter distortions.

TimeSync 2.0 technology synchronizes system data to the center of the image, with millisecond precision to increase overall accuracy. The DJI P1 is compatible with the DJI DL Lens set (24mm, 35mm, 50mm). Map up to 3km² per flight which is 5-10x more efficient than the Phantom 4 RTK.

We are a DJI Enterprise authorized dealer, contact us for more details or to pre-order your DJI P1 at competitive prices.

DJI P1 Features:

  • 45 MP Full-frame CMOS sensor
  • Mechanical Global Shutter
  • Capable of covering up to 300 hectares per flight at 3cm GSD
  • Capable of 3 cm Horizontal; 5 cm Vertical accuracies without GCP’s

What to look for in a photogrammetry camera?

Global shutter vs. Rolling shutter: the method a camera sensor captures an image. A rolling shutter is common in consumer cameras as it is less expensive. The image on the left represents a Global shutter, on the right is a rolling shutter. The "scanning" capture of the rolling shutter camera causes warping and distortion of your data that can ultimately affect your survey product. This distortion is apparent when the drone is moving at a constant speed capturing data, the global shutter addresses this issue by taking a "snapshot".

Global shutter vs rolling shutterSensor size + pixels + height: determines Ground Sampling Distance (GSD). Larger image sensors size can reduce noise in the data, increase dynamic range, and capture a larger area per frame. More pixels equates to higher-resolution data, both these factors will enable drone operators to capture data at a higher altitude while maintaining a low GSD in order to efficiently map larger areas of interest in detail. Below is an image captured from the same height, the image on the right represents a lower resolution image. Image credit: Pix4D
